Tamara Kay Whitaker

Tamara was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Wayne and Mickey Bowes on December 21st, 1955. She married Jerry Wayne Whitaker on December 3rd, 1992 in New Market, Virginia. She was tragically widowed on April 14th, 1993. She worked as a caretaker for horses at Quantico's horse stables for the majority of her late working years.

Tamara is preceded in death by Tylene Daehnke, Mickey Bowes, Jerry Whitaker, and Wayne Bowes.

Tamara is survived by three children: Joshua Whitaker, Amethyst Whitaker, and April Zimbleman. Her five grandchildren are Violet Powell, Zamora Monroe, Evan Winkinhofer, Fox Winkinhofer, and Jet Winkinhofer.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 30th, 2022 at Demaine Funeral Home. 5308 Backlick Road in Springfield Virginia. Burial will follow at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Market Virginia at a date to be determined.
