Rafael Luis Gutierrez Rivera

RAFAEL L. GUTIERREZ-RIVERA Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Beloved husband of Janet Cording Gutierrez; father of Rafael O. Gutierrez-Torres. Also survived by many loving family members and friends. Rafael always had a ready smile or laugh and was the glue of every group he joined. He was an avid sailor, and loved nothing better than a night of dominos, or an impromptu party. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at Sydenstricker United Methodist Church, 8508 Hooes Road, Springfield, VA. 22153 on Saturday, January 12 at 11:00 a.m. with reception at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Lorton Community Action Center, 9518 Richmond Highway (U.S Route 1), Lorton, VA 22079. Interment at Puerto Rico National Cemetery, Bayamon, PR at a later date.
