Of Springfield, VA on April 25, 2018 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of 68 years to the late Leonard A. Wood; mother of the late Cathy Wood Weber, Leonard Wood, Lisa Matthews, and Scott Wood; grandmother of 7; and great-grandmother of 11.
Nona was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Springfield.
The family would like to give a special thank you to her caregivers – Antonio Estevez and Hope Alleman whose devotion and attentiveness allowed Nona to spend her last months with her family in her home.
Nona will join her husband at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Nona’s memory to First Baptist Church of Springfield, 7300 Gary Street, Springfield, VA 22150.
