Javier Rivera-Quiñonez, age 51, of Burke, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Javier was born December 1, 1969 in New York City. Survived by his wife Lorna Ortiz-Morales, stepson Christian D. Franco-Ortiz, his beloved Chewy, his parents José Rivera, Emma Quiñonez, his brother José Rivera-Quiñonez, his sister Irene Rivera-Quiñonez and nieces and nephews Emma, Alana, José "Che", Gamalier, José and Tiffany.
Javier was an avid sports fan. He did not discriminate and followed baseball, football, basketball and hockey. He went to the games and always routed for the home team. He also loved to play dominoes (he was a fierce player) and cards with family and friends.
The only thing he loved more than sports was spending time with both his immediate and extended family. His beloved Chewy was always by his side and waiting for him when he got home.
Visitation for Javier will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151.
