Richard Cullen Watt

He was born in Springfield, July 29, 1951 the son of David and Marietta (Cullen) Watt. He graduated from Springfield High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.

He served in the United States Army and was of the Presbyterian faith.

Rick owned and operated a demolition company for many years.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, David Watt, and his grandparents.

Surviving are his children; Justin Watt of North Salt Lake City, UT, Lindsay Bettis and Darin Watt, both of Tucson, AZ, his grandchildren; Aeris, Zane, Alexia Jade Watt Bettis, his mother, Marietta Watt of Springfield, his brother, David (wife Candace) Watt of Murphysboro, IL his sister, Margaret (husband Charles) Dunning of Bartlett, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Fri. Feb. 27, 2015 at Hope Presbyterian Church at 10 am with Rev. Charles (Chuck) Goodman officiating. Inurnment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
