Mollie Jean Rhoades

Mollie was born April 1, 1979, in Springfield. A devoted mom and loving aunt, Mollie found her greatest joys in her daughter, Tori, her son, Colton, and her cherished nieces and nephews. Her heart was happiest when spending time with family, friends and loved ones.

Mollie shared the last 11 years of her life with Joel Baker, and is survived by him, her daughter, Tori Breeding, and their son, Colton Baker. She is also survived by her mother, Judy Schaeffer of Mt. Auburn, and her father, Gregory Rhoades of Springfield; sisters Christa Sharer of Edinburg, Jennifer (Bryan) Bramel of Mt. Auburn, Brandi Gorbett of Edinburg, and Alice (fiancée Ashley) Moorehead of Decatur; brothers Adam Rhoades of New Orleans and Benjamin Rhoades of Springfield; nieces and nephews Rylee House, Kellen McClain, Elizabeth and Alex Loeser, Dylan and Peyton Bramel, Shay, Tyler and Payton Gorbett, and Hailey (Josh) Neff; Joel’s family, parents James and Nancy Baker of Athens; brother Andrew (Kate) Baker of Round Lake Beach; sisters Ellen (Paul) Worthey of Edwardsville and Paula (Jason) Grigsby of Athens; and several nieces and nephews. We know Mollie would also want to acknowledge her many amazing friends.

Mollie worked for the Department of Revenue for 14 years.
