Marion B Howard

Marion was born Marion Beth Wright in Union City, PA, the first-born daughter of Arthur J. Wright and Marion H. Smith. They, along with her siblings predecease her as well as her own children Marianne McClain, and Martin McClain.

Marion served in the US coast guard in WW11 as a radio operator. She met her first husband during her time of service. After serving our country they settled in Springfield Illinois and raised their three children. Marion was owner and operator of Tiny Tot Daycare for many years where she was affectionately known as Teacher. She volunteered for over 30 years in Prison Ministries in five states. Marion was the author of two published books and got her BA degree at the age of 58.

Marion is survived by her eldest son Michael D. McClain (Kaye Lynn) and three granddaughters. Michelle Haab (Jason) and their sons, Jaden Haab and Grayson Haab. Christa McClain-Smith (M. Doug) and their daughters, Michaela McClain-Smith and Madison McClain-Smith. Faith Hewlett (Patrick) and their daughter Kira Hewlett and son Phoenix Hewlett.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later day. Interment will be at Oak Ridge cemetery Springfield Illinois.
