Kevin S. Kent

Kevin S. Kent, 69, of Springfield, passed away on March 21, 2022 at his residence. He was born on July 23, 1952 in Belleville, Illinois to Robert L. Kent Sr., and Jane C. Kent. Kevin married Marcia Sale on October 9, 1982 and she survives.

Mr. Kent is also survived by two sons: Andrew (Stephanie) Kent and Sam Kent both of Springfield, one sister Marsha Kent, two brothers: Craig (Stephanie) Kent and Doug (Karen) Kent, five grandchildren: Garrett and Abigail Thompson and Aidyn, Lily and Logan Kent, his extended family Isabel Yocute and her children and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Robert Lincoln Kent Jr., and one nephew Robert Lincoln Kent III.

Kevin was a part owner of Kent Family Properties working with his family for over fifty years. He started working at the Grandview IGA at age 10. Kevin was a member of Springfield Lodge #4 AF&AM, Springfield Consistory, ANSAR Shrine, ANSAR Arab Patrol and Springfield Court #20 ROJ serving as the director in 2008.

A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday April 9, 2022 from 11:00am until 3:00pm at the Jesters Center, Woodland Trail Drive on Lake Springfield.
