John F. "Jack" McCue, 94, of Springfield, died at 9:15 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. Jack was born February 19, 1918 in Springfield, the son of Charles Joseph and Catherine Anne Power McCue, Sr. He married Cecilia Agnes McGuire on October 12, 1940 in Springfield, IL. She preceded him in death. He married Dollie Crocks on August 15, 1987 in Springfield. Jack graduated from Cathedral Boys High School. He was employed by Fiat Allis for 36 years, where he was a sales manager and financial secretary for the Fiat Allis Credit Union. He also worked as a purchasing agent for the Illinois State Fair for 8 years and was the financial secretary for Knights of Columbus for 15 years. Jack was a member of Christ the King Church and was involved in many golf and bowling leagues. He was a life-long member of the Knights of Columbus Council #364 and was inducted into the K of C Hall of Fame. He also volunteered with the K of C barbeque for 80 years. He was a die-hard Notre Dame fan and enjoyed golf, bowling, singing with his brothers, and spending time with his family. He is also preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Chuck McCue, Joe McCue, Neil McCue, and Frank McCue; and two sisters, Mary Kay Patton and Margaret Drew. He is survived by his wife, Dollie of Springfield; four sons, Mike McCue and Tom (Helen) McCue of Springfield, Pat (Suzanne) McCue and Terry (Linda) McCue of Tallahassee, FL; two daughters, Jacquie McCue and Carol McCue, both of Springfield; sister, Patricia Ford of Springfield; step-children, Sharon Kay (Herb) Hannah of Royalton, Judy (Bill) Berry of Virden, Frank (Debbie) Crocks of Girard; twelve grandchildren: Michael McCue, Chris McCue, Sean McCue, Bryan McCue, Christina McCue, Matthew McCue, Natalie Daugherty, Jay Leathers, Matt Abrell, Mandy Bekoin, Chris Traylor, and Tawnya Fleming; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Christ the King Church, 1930 Barberry Dr., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Christ the King Church with Rev. Joseph Ring, Celebrant.
