Jack was born September 30, 1943 in Springfield, IL to John and Carmelia Adams. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1962. Jack was a veteran of the Illinois National Guard where he served his country for over 29 years, not only as a full time technician but as a Sergeant 1st Class.
Jack enjoyed any type of small engine repair project, fishing, camping, spending time with his family and friends, watching westerns, and taking care of his dog Niki.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Jack is survived by his wife and soulmate Sharon of 56 years, 2 daughters Debbie (Mike) White, Brenda (Pete) Contos; 3 grandchildren Justin White, Indigo (Sophia) Contos, Athanasios (Athan) Contos; 2 brothers Thomas (Peg) Adams and Michael (Mary) Adams.
Even though his failing health took him away from this world, he will long be remembered for his kind heart and his willingness to always help others the best he could.
A visitation for Jack will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street, Springfield, IL 62703. Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 11:30 AM at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street, Springfield, IL 62703. Committal service at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois at 1PM.
