Hazel Terry Williams

She was born on July 21, 1925 in Henderson, TN, the daughter of the late Clifford F. and Jewell E. (Massengill) Terry. She married James W. Williams, Sr. on June 2, 1941 in Corinth, MS and he preceded her in death on August 31, 1996.

Hazel retired from Sears. She was a member of Pasfield Baptist Church for over 50 years, AARP, a Fit Club Seniors group, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids were her life.

She is survived by her 3 children, Kay (husband Jeff) Lofland of Springfield, John (wife Kathleen) Williams of Springfield, and Carole (husband Kevin) McVay of Beaverton, OR; 13 grandchildren, Terry (wife Vicky) Williams, Russ Nagel, Jr., Clayton (wife Dawn) Nagel, Jodie Nagel Williams, Sean (wife Brittany) Barron, Kelly (wife Jessica) Barron, Karry (husband Michael) Hopkins, Richard Johnson, Eric (wife Allyssa) McVay, Alex (wife Cindy) McVay, D.W. Clarke, Cody (wife Ashley) Lofland, and Jake Lofland; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son James Williams, Jr.; a brother Carroll Terry; and 6 sisters, Irene Keller, Dorothy Johnson, Jewel Marie Turney, Joyce Jones, Jane Gabbard, and Mary Land.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, Springfield. A private family service will be held.
