The tall, dark and handsome man we all love, passed 9/20/23. He was a strong, peaceful, loving husband and father to his late wife, Alma Jean Kirn and his three children, Blake, Grant, and Laura Renee. Grover was a State of Illinois law enforcement Retiree. Mr. Webb took pride in being a present and dependable husband, father, and friend. Mr. Webb was also a dedicated Kappa Alpha PSI Fraternity member and SIUC Alumni. Grover Webb was the past master of the Central Lodge No. 3 Free Accepted Mason- Prince Hall Affiliated, the sublime Prince of Menelik Consistory No. 49 Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, NJ, PHA, Noble of Kamar Temple No.56 AEAONMS. May we never forget the unconditional love he gave us. The world was a better place with men like Grover in it. He was so very loved and will be dearly missed.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Grover’s life will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Avenue West, Springfield, Illinois, 62704.
