Eleanor D. "Ellie" Williams

Ellie was born in Gilbert, Arkansas, February 20, 1928 the daughter of Charles and Clara (Bing) Tubbs. She married Robert P. “Bob” Williams, December 2, 1950 and he preceded her in death March 26, 2014. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angela Hope Williams.

Ellie was a member of West Side Christian Church. She enjoyed shopping, was an accomplished pianist, golfer and snow skier. She loved her family and friends. Getting together for any reason to have a party was her greatest joy and often including a good card game or dominos.

Ellie was the co-owner operator with her husband of Com Microfilm. As she and Bob passed the business to their son and daughter-in-law, she continued to office there until she decided in November of 2019 that she should fully retire.

Surviving are her son, Craig (wife Barbara) Williams of Springfield, her daughter, Sandy (companion Keith Jamieson) Jachino of Mahomet, IL, six grandchildren: Craig (Ryan Blesse) Williams II, Kurt Williams, both of Springfield, IL, Amy Jachino of Wentzville, MO, Nick (Katie) Jachino of Rochester, IL, Bethany (Chad) Gendron of Imperial, MO, and Charlie Williams of Springfield. She has three great grandchildren; Jacob Jachino, Jackson and Brooklyn Elmore. Also surviving is her brother, Gene Tubbs of Frederick, Maryland and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Concordia Village Chapel 4101 W. Iles Ave. Springfield, IL 62711 beginning at 9:30 am with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 am. Pastor Cindy Lash will officiate. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may direct memorial contributions to the Christ Care Fund or the Concordia Village Scholarship Fund 4101 W. Iles Ave. Springfield, IL 62711
