Byron K. Owens, 42, a life long resident of Springfield, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2001 at Memorial Medical Center. Byron was born March 1, 1959 the son of William Earl and Shirley B. Zink Owens in Springfield. Mr. Owens had been employed by several local restaurants. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. He is survived by his mother: Shirley B. Owens of Springfield; three sisters: Crystal D. (husband, Jeff) Gagler of Oak Lawn, IL, Shari L. (husband, Tim) Carroll of Springfield; and Sarah J. (husband, Karl) Bockemeier of Auburn; two nephews; one niece and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 8, 2001 at Oak Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Thomas Christell officiating. The family of Byron K.
