Barbara Ann Pieper

Barbara Ann Pieper, 62, of Cypress, TX, formerly of Springfield, died on Monday, December 11, 2006 at Triumph Hospital, Tomball, TX. Barbara was born on November 25, 1944 in Springfield, the daughter of Robert H. and Anna Marie Sansone Reed. She married Grantley Pieper in 1963 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Decatur, IL. She was a 1962 graduate of St. Theresa High School in Decatur. She was a member of Christ The Redeemer Catholic Church in Houston, TX. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Grantley Pieper of Cypress, TX; two sons: Jeffrey Robert (wife, Lisa) Pieper of Springboro, OH and Steven Harold Pieper of Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren: Delaney, Keaton and MacKenna Pieper; parents: Mr. & Mrs. Robert (Anna Marie) Reed of Summerfield, FL; three sisters: Madonna Ann Hilker of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, Elizabeth (husband, Barry) Bowers of Sinking Springs, PA and Theresa Ozse of Harvard, IL; one brother, Timothy (wife, Helen) Reed of Woodridge, IL; one uncle, Vincent (wife, Marian) Sansone of Chico, CA and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1345 N. 6th St. Springfield with Rev. J. Michael Ewert, O.F.M. celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to national Multiple Sclerosis, Greater Illinois Chapter, 910 West Van Buren, 4th Floor, Chicago, IL 60607.
