Angela Sue Shipley, 44, of Pawnee, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 in Springfield. Angela was born November 2, 1973 in Springfield, the daughter of Gordon L. and Patricia Anderson Cooper. Angela graduated from Porta High School in 1992 and earned degrees from Browns Business College and Lincoln Land Community College. She was certified as a personal trainer and worked in the fitness industry for 20 years, most recently as an owner and personal trainer at TruFit Performance Studio for 6 years. Angela was a member of the Functional Patterns Training group and enjoyed spending time with her family, country cruising, reading, and loved DIY projects. She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Cooper. She is survived by her fianc, Steve Boarman of Pawnee; her children, Alyssa Blom, Shea Votava, and Alek James Votava, all of Pawnee, mother, Patty Holder of Springfield; sisters, Beth Cooper and Christine (wife, Jill) Cooper-Hurley, both of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
