Tim Carpenter, 46, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on October 25, 2024 after a fiercely fought mental health battle. Born in the Philippines (the whitest Filipino we knew), Tim attended the University of South Florida where he met his wife, Megan, and earned his MBA and Master’s in Management Information Systems. His daughters, Marin and Eleanor, brought him immense joy and he loved sharing his knowledge and beauty of the world with them. Born with a mind beyond his years, Tim was a seeker. Space, photography, art, the metaphysical, and cryptocurrency were just a few of his passions. His dogs, Leo and Coco, made him temporarily forget his pain and brought out the smile all who knew him loved. He found peace in the crystal clear waters of the Turks and Caicos where he made many wonderful memories throughout the years with his wife and children. Tim had a heart filled with kindness, empathy, and generosity, always ready to uplift those around him with compassion and understanding. Though he faced his own battles, his warmth and selflessness left an undeniable mark on all who knew him, reminding us of the power of kindness and the importance of reaching out to others. His bright blue eyes, dimples, and beautiful smile will be forever missed.
Tim is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Bob and Joann Hill and Janet Warling. His absence will be felt by many, especially his daughters Marin and Eleanor, Megan, Bill and Kathy Eppley, his mother Michelle Suerdick (Kris), his father Tim Carpenter Sr., his sister Jenni Schurr (Steve) niece and nephews (Ava, Nikolaus, and Wilhelm), his “sister-wife”, Erin Grubenhoff (Michael) and niece and nephew, Leo and Madeline. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 6, 2024 at Incarnation Catholic Church in Centerville, Ohio. Please join us after Mass to celebrate his beautiful spirit at Meridien in Centerville. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Jay’s Light to help support and reduce the stigma associated with mental health. https://jayslight.org
