Ida Ellen Weizman

Ida E. Weizman of Springboro, Ohio was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world on April 30, 2023 at the age of 89. Ida was raised in a small town in Virginia in the Appalachian mountains on the banks of the Clinch River. Ida was one of twelve children. After graduating from high school, she moved to Dayton and began doing accounting at Lowe Brothers Painting Company. She attend business school at night for accounting. Ida later joined a Catholic youth group where she met her husband, Raymond. They married and had 4 children. Ida had many careers throughout her life as an accountant, newspaper branch manager and distribution center associate, however being a mom was her greatest joy.

Ida is survived by her husband, Raymond, sons, Larry (Elizabeth) Weizman and Patrick (Krysta) Weizman and daughters Debbie (Roger) Cottongim and Melissa (Chuck) Webb. Ida is the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Ida will be remembered for her incredibly sweet nature, love of God, flowers, and her family. Ida lived every day of her life by the motto to love others and be kind to each other.

Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home, 40 N. Main St., Springboro, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 9579 Yankee Road, Springboro, on Tuesday, May 9 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church or St. Vincent DePaul Society.
