With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Fay Friedman, a cherished soul who graced this world with her warmth and love for 90 remarkable years. Fay, affectionately known as "Mom" to her adoring family, bid farewell to us on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, in Pomona, New York.
Fay was the beloved wife of the late Harry Friedman, her lifelong companion and partner in every adventure. Together, they built a beautiful family, leaving behind a legacy of love and unity. Fay's devotion knew no bounds as she embraced her roles as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind a constellation of love in her children: Ronda, Lorri, Donna, and Alan, who were not just her offspring but the very heartbeat of her existence.
Fay's heart overflowed with joy in the presence of her grandchildren and great-grandchild: Karisa, Ryan, Kyle, Brad, Justin, Stephanie, and Hudson. Though she is reunited in spirit with Corey Hewett, Brian Vetrano, her beloved grandchildren, and Michael Vetrano, her son-in-law, their memories continue to sparkle in the tapestry of her life.
As a dedicated homemaker, Fay's days were filled with nurturing her family with love and care. Family gatherings and vacations were cherished traditions, binding them together with precious memories. Her love knew no bounds as she treasured her relationships with her siblings and cultivated lifelong friendships that enriched her journey.
In her later years, Fay discovered a newfound joy in the simple pleasures of life, finding excitement in the occasional visit to the casino, where she reveled in the thrill of chance and companionship.
Fay's presence illuminated the lives of all who knew her, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled. Though she may have left this earthly realm, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in her love and light.
In honoring Fay's memory, let us celebrate the beautiful life she lived, the love she shared, and the legacy of kindness and compassion she leaves behind. As we bid farewell to our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, may we find solace in knowing that her love will forever guide and inspire us.
Graveside services for Fay will be held Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Gates of Zion Cemetery, 670 Saddle River Road, Airmont, NY 10952.
