William Samuel Rowland Jr.

On Sunday, January 10th, 2021, William Samuel Rowland Jr., loving father of five children, passed away at the age of 55 after a valiant battle with heart failure. His devotion to his family and his unwavering belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

Bill was born on November 2, 1965 in Warren, Ohio to Ellen Rowland and William Rowland Sr. He was an entrepreneur and an enigmatic and inspiring leader in sales, and was loved and respected by his friends and colleagues. From a young age, Bill filled every room he entered with energy and laughter, and was said to be a force of nature who never met a stranger. He was generous to a fault, and was known to shine when people needed something to believe in. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator.

Bill is survived by his son, William Samuel Rowland III; his four daughters, Julia Matt (Jordan Matt), Rachael Rowland, Ashlynn Grace Rowland, and Kristianna Rowland; and his siblings, Laurie McGuire (Jim McGuire), June Kobosky (Jeffrey Kobosky), Daniel Rowland (Dinah Rowland), and Allyson Garcia (Aaron Garcia). He is preceded in death by his parents: William Rowland Sr. and Ellen Rowland.

Public viewings will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 14th and on Friday, January 15th from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Great Life Church. Immediately after the viewing on Friday, a Celebration of Life Service, officiated by Pastor Stephen Bilsborough, will be held in his honor, open to all and live streaming at greatlifechurch.com at 2:00 p.m.
