Thelma Brown 64, passed away at the Hernando Hospice Home in Spring Hill FL.
She was born in Salem, Illinois and went thru all the grades at Salem High School, graduating class of 1968 which was one of her highlights of her life as she often mentioned.
Thelma moved to Rushville, Indiana with her parents and brother, living with them until both were deceased, then she lived with her Uncle Willie Roe and Aunt Doris Roe who lived in Manila, Indiana. They moved to Weeki Wachee Fl. in 1976.
Thelma loved to do craft work, and belonged to several craft groups in the area. Thelma also loved to play the Organ. She became active in the First Baptist Church in Weeki-Wachee Acres, Fl.. Thelma was most happy when she was able to do activities for the Church and help people in general, you would not here a bad word from her as she really tried to live a happy life and do good Christian work.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents Cortes Brown, (Hazel Powless Brown) also her Uncle and Aunt Willie & Doris Roe. She is survived by a brother Freddie Joe Brown (Lena) and their children in Rushville, Indiana. Thelma has a cousin Eileen (Jim) Rutledge, Spring Hill Fl., and Several other cousins in Florida, Indiana and Illinois.
There will be a memorial held at the First Baptist Church in Weeki Wachee Fl.,
Pastor Raymond Willis will officiate the services
10-11 am Family and Friends, 11-12 Service and a dinner following the service.
