Robert "Bobby" Richard Schwarz Jr.

Robert "Bobby" Richard Schwarz Jr., age 83, of Brooksville, Florida passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023.. He was originally from Lindenhurst N.Y.Bob was an avid runner. He was a two-time finisher of the New York City Marathon, and the L.I. Newsday Marathon. He finished the Fairfield County, Ct. marathon, and the Orange County N.Y. marathon. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing solitaire the old-fashioned way. Bob enjoyed singing, especially Doo-Wop music. He occasionally sang Karaoke, and in his early years, was a member of a local Doo-Wop group. Bob was a long-standing member of the Eagles (Hall crest #4497), where he enjoyed conversing and making new friends. Bob served as a proud U.S. Marine from 1958 until his honorable discharge as a Lance Corporal in 1961. Bob retired from the Inc. Village of Babylon N.Y. after 23 years of service. Upon retirement, he moved to Brooksville Fl with his wife Dorothy, where they grew blueberries and had a U-Pick blueberry farm.

Survived by his wife Dorothy (Dot) of 61 years. Together they had three children: Lisa Busacca (Tommy), Susan DeMeco (Patrick), and Robert III (Michele). Eight grandchildren: Michael Busacca, Megan Cremata (Corey); Tyler, Patrick, Brooke, and Matthew DeMeco; Lauren and Ethan Schwarz. Brother Stanley (Bridget) of Copiague N.Y. and Cousin Barbara Byrnes (Rich) of West Islip N.Y.

Preceded in death by parents Robert Sr., Theresa (Garvey), and Brother Gerard.

Visitation will be 11-12PM Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Funeral service will will follow at 12PM located at Turner Funeral Home 14360 Spring Hill Dr. Spring Hill, Florida 34609.
