In 1968 he entered the United States Navy where he proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. Upon his safe return home, he married his beautiful loving wife of 51 years, Jacqueline Lee Bolt.
He formerly resided in Ringwood, NJ where he raised his family working as a Field Engineer for 31 years. Richard enjoyed life, friends, and music. He had a gift for playing the guitar, and formed a band called Rick Bolt and the Nuts entertaining at different venues. As a devout believer in the Lord, he served on the worship team at Great Life Church where he ministered to many.
He is survived by his wife Jacqueline, son’s Rick (Geri) and Dereck (Tera), grandchildren who fondly called him “Poppy” – Kelsea (Alan), Dereck, Ryan (Jessica), Mackenzie, Zach (Mia), Christian, Logan, and great grandson Korbin. Also survived by his brother Douglas (Terri), sister Lynn (Barry), and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be head at Great Life Church, 14494 Cortez Boulevard, Spring Hill, FL 34613 at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 23, 2021.
