Lorna Cecile Seivwright, age 67, of Clearwater, Florida passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022. Lorna was born April 1, 1955 in Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica. She graduated from St. Andrew Technical High School and had worked in nursing for Home Health Care agencies.
Lorna had a passion for singing and loved arranging florals. She attended Joyce Britton's voice music studio and was involved in several concerts, studio productions, and operas. Most memorable was Verdi's IL Trovatore put on by Ms. Roma Figgit at her castle home up in the hills of St. Andrew Jamaica. She was also a member of Rookumbine Folk Singers in Jamaica led by Noel Dexter.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Moya and Matthew Laden; grandchildren Safia Hodge and Amira Laden; father, Leo Beverley; sister, Carol Murray; nieces and nephews, Melanie (David), Stephanie (Shane), Sarah, Maarc, Jordan; sister-in-law Deserene (Stacy), Uncle Roy McDonald and Aunt Pal; and aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous relatives and friends.
A gathering of family & friends for Lorna will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Turner Funeral Homes, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609, followed by a celebration of life from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
