June R. Hughes, 92, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2023. Born in Ivydale, West Virginia, June lived in Elyria, Ohio where she was a teacher until she and her husband, Orval retired to Spring Hill, Florida. June was a member of SpringLife Church and the local Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) Chapter.
June was preceded in death by her husband Orval Hughes and her sister Lois Langley. She is survived by her sons Jeff and Steve (Patty) and grandsons Michael, Jeffery (Krystal) and David (Samantha). Family was important to June and she was special to many loving nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at SpringLife Church in Spring Hill, Florida on January 21, 2023 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
