Anthony L. Ruggiero passed away on October 22, 2016, in Hudson, Florida, with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elena (nee Guiliano), his two sons; John G. Ruggiero and wife Deborah of Castleton, New York , and Carmine C. and wife Betsey Ruggiero of Hudson, Florida; his grandchildren Michael J. Ruggiero of Castleton, Vermont, and Anthony J. Ruggiero of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is also survived by brothers John Ruggiero and wife Mary Ann of Floral Park, New York, and Vincent and wife Genevieve of Mount Sinai, New York, along with many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Tony was born in Brooklyn in 1936 to the late John and Anita (Marsilia) Ruggiero. He was a master carpenter by trade, and worked as a Production Manager for Continental Can Industries. He was also a Facilities Manager for the Desmond-Americana Hotel in Albany, New York for many years. Tony and his wife retired to Florida in 1987. They led a very active and fulfilling life as ballroom dancers, sharing their love of dance with many as instructors. Tony and Elena were also very active karaoke singers. He was a member of Elks Lodge #2420 in Hudson. Tony spent his final years an amateur aborist, tending to his garden with his loving hands. He was always ready to help anyone in need, and embraced life to its fullest. Funeral mass will be 11am Saturday, November 5, 2016 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Spring Hill, Florida.
