passed away peacefully at the VA Hospital in Spokane, WA
on Jan, 11, 2019. Ken was 73 years old. Ken was born to Cless
Blanchard and Villa Putnam-Blanchard on Nov. 6, 1945 in Ephrata,
WA and graduated from Ephrata High School in 1963. Ken joined
the National Guard after high school and continued on, making the
Air National Guard his career of choice. He also served in Desert
Storm during his last year before retiring in 2000 after more than
30 years of service. Ken had many longtime friendships from the
Air National Guard. Ken had two children from a previous marriage:
Ruth and Bill. Ken married Karleen Klingbeil in 1991, they moved to
Spokane, WA. Together they enjoyed road-trips to the Redwoods in
California, Oregon Coast, Grand Canyon and more. Ken enjoyed
helping the elderly and watched for opportunities to help
seniors. Ken was a man of integrity. He will be missed by everyone
who knew him.
