Virginia Robinson passed away in Spokane, Washington on February 3, 1936 from cancer. She was born on February 3, 1936 in Mandan, North Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Celestine Hagel, brothers Andrew, Johnny, Richard. Sisters Rose, Tina, Catherine, Elaine. She is survived by her brother Larry, sister Monica, and several nieces and nephews and her husband Loren (Bud) Robinson, sons Jeff and Brian, daughter Linda Scanlon. Also several grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She came to Spokane with her family in 1942 where her father found work building Faragut Naval Training Base. She went through school at Holy Names, then worked at The Spokesman Review until she met Bud Robinson of Priest River, Idaho. It was on a Sunday visit with her co-worker friend who wanted to show her life in a logging town. Virginia and Bud married on May 23, 1956. Jeff was born in 1957, Linda in 1958. They lived in Priest River five years then moved to Coeur d‘Alene. In 1964 they moved to Spokane where Brian was born in 1965. As a hobby Virginia took to painting scenery pictures and selling Avon. She also collected Angels and dolls. Virginia was friends with everyone and loved by all. She will be sorely missed. There will be a funeral service Friday, February 9, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99206. There will then be a graveside service Monday, February 12th at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery in Priest River, ID.
