Dick entered into God’s Eternal Care on June 9, 2012 due to a sudden heart attack. He was born in Walla Walla, WA on December 6, 1928. He served in the Army from 1950 to 1952 in the Korean Conflict with the 224th Regimental Combat Team. He was in the engineering field until 1980, at which time he became self-employed as RAM Drafting Company until his retirement. Dick enjoyed RVing, taking cruises and tours, along with spending time at his lake property with friends and family. He will be greatly missed, but our happy memories will always outweigh our sadness. He is survived by Shirley, his wife of 47 years; three sons, Scott McKenney of Hollowville, NY; Doug McKenney of Simi Valley, CA, and Kevin McKenney of Bend, OR; two daughters, Carly McKenney of Great Barrington, MA and Susan Bullock of New Port Richey, FL. He has six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous other family members, including sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Georgia and Roger Pilgrim, and Marilyn and Larry Stone. Sincere gratitude to Des and Barb Boucher for their “midnight run” to offer moral support and love. What great friends he was blessed with! Visitation will be Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 5 to 8pm at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 in the Colonial Chapel at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home at 9:00am. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 N.
