Molly Patricia Gilden

Molly graduated from Shadle Park HS and continued her education at EWU while working for Albertsons where she met her husband, Mike. They were married on February 20, 1982, and together they raised three great children.

As the children got older Molly went back to school to finish her education where she earned her BA in Liberal Arts from EWU. Molly worked for the YWCA where she led the after-school program. During her time at the YWCA, Molly received the Arc of Spokane, Volunteer of the Year in 1998 and Washington State Exemplary Substance Abuse Prevention in 2001 for the YWCA After School Program. While working at the YWCA, Molly furthered her education at Gonzaga University earning her Master of Arts in Teaching. She continued her teaching career working for the West Valley School District.

Molly loved spending time with her family, cruising the Caribbean and vacationing in Ft. Myers, Florida. Molly is survived by her husband, daughter Kelli, sons Shawn and Christopher, grandson Skyler, granddaughter Camdyn, brothers Tim and Brendan, and sisters Marian and Keli. Molly is predeceased by her parents and sister Terri.

A funeral service will be held at Valley Real Life, 1831 S. Barker Rd., Greenacres, WA. on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sally’s House Foster Care, Spokane.
