I enjoyed getting to know George as a fellow CVSD teacher-librarian.  Never saw him without a smile! His bees are missing him, too, I believe. I was a student at Summit School, and Mr. Moon has such a passion and life to him. He was a fantastic librarian and a sweet man. I remember he would always joke around and connect with the kids. ( His read alouds were the best). Specifically he did the chess tournaments and went above and beyond making a fun environment for everybody to learn about the game, win prizes and have a blast. His joy and stories are fondly remembered, thanks for your kindness Mr. Moon.

Mr. Moon was my librarian at Summit school growing up. He was always super nice and cheerful around everyone. I remember he used to bring extra donuts from the teachers lounge to some of the students and it always made our day. He will be missed a ton and I know everyone who had a class with him had an awesome time!

We were neighbors for the last 41 years. George taught my boys to swim at the local swimming pool over 30 years ago.  He was a nice man and he'll be missed in the neighborhood.
