Don Krebs was born August 24, 1924 in Halstead, Kansas, to William and Mary Krebs. He was the middle child of 13. He married his wife June shortly before being drafted into the Army during WWII. He served in Europe with the 385th Infantry. After the war he went to work for Central Premix where he drove truck, dispatched and eventually became a salesman. While working as a driver for Premix, he was hit by a train. The truck was totaled, the train derailed and he got a cut on the arm.
Don was a past Commander of the Spokane Yacht Club where he has been a member since 1955. He belonged to the Blue Gavel and Spokane Home Builders. He loved to boat, snowmobile, dance and travel. He and his wife traveled the world.
He is survived by his son Lonnie (Jill), daughter-in-law Ann, Granddaughters Kimberly (Sam), Carlene (Jason), Kari (Jeremy); grandsons Jason (Krista) and Chad. Great grandchildren Peyton (Miranda), Carson, Brady, Eva, Bennett, Brock, Olivia, and Madison.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years June and son Kim.
Due to Covid restrictions a private memorial service will be held.
