Dennis Lee Redford was born in Spokane on August 22, 1935 and passed away on November 9, 2011. He was a former employee of Kaiser Aluminum and Boeing Corporation and co-owner of Redford’s Campers. Dennis was a 1954 graduate of West Valley High School and served in the Army Reserve. He was a past president of The Greater Inland Empire Stock Car Racing Association, and a member of the Spokane Valley Jaycees. Dennis loved the arts, and during his life he appeared in many local theatre productions and also acted in some television including the show ‘Amazing Grace’ with Patty Duke. Dennis was an avid Gonzaga basketball fan and enjoyed gardening and landscaping his yard with fountains, beautiful rockery formations and a koi pond. He is survived by Claudia Redford, his wife of 56 years; his children Michael Dennis Redford of St. Louis, MO, Michele Lorraine Redford of Branson, MO and Carol Lynn Redford of Albuquerque, NM; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved dachshund, Dexter. Dennis will finally be out of pain and with his Heavenly Father. He was greatly loved by his family and many friends who wish to extend their thanks to all of the staff at Rockwood Cancer Treatment Center. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 3:00pm at the Pines Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
