Cleo Louise Willms

Born in Spokane, WA, Cleo grew up on a farm in Worley Idaho. She married Eugene Willms on October 15, 1955. They made their home in Rockford, Washington and were married for 45 years until Gene’s death in November of 2000.

Cleo lived in their home for 66 years before moving to Ridgeview Place Assisted Living in Spokane, WA in October of 2021. She enjoyed her brief time there, visiting with the other residents, playing Bingo, and participating in the arts and crafts activities. She passed away there, peacefully, in her sleep.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Willms; sister, Micky Wetter; and a granddaughter, Candice Willms.

Cleo is survived by her son, Kevin Willms of Rockford, WA; granddaughter, Katie Willms-Payne (Joshua Payne) of Salem, OR; grandsons, Christopher & Jamie Willms of Spokane, WA; great-grandsons, Ryder & Landyn Payne of Salem, OR; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cleo enjoyed gardening, homemaking, crocheting, sewing, puzzles, traveling and reading. She had been baptized on November 6, 1947 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was an active member of congregation at Fairfield, WA. until her death. She was a diligent student of the Bible and like to share what she learned with others.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 18th at 1:00 pm via a Zoom Memorial. The link will be posted here a few days prior to the service.

She was loved by her family and friends who have many fond memories of fun times at her home.
