Richard Sylvester Sudol

Richard was born to Betty and Sylvester Sudol on March 12, 1949 in Passaic, NJ. He was an athlete that enjoyed baseball, bowling, and fishing and had a passion for Mopar muscle cars. After attending Newark College of Engineering he enjoyed a long career as a talented machinist. His love of sports led him to coaching little league baseball and basketball for many years, teaching his own sons and daughter along the way. His passion for fishing led to volunteering for the Lake Shawnee fishing committee for many years. He was an avid music lover and enjoyed sharing his stories about going to Woodstock 69’.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Regina and three children Richard Jr., and husband Brian, Brian and wife Megan, Kristin and fiancé Sean and grandson Hunter. He is also survived by his brothers Donald and Michael Sudol. Richard was predeceased by his parents Betty and Sylvester Sudol.

Visitation for Richard will be held Wednesday, September 20th from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. Cremation will be held privately.

We invite friends and family to join us as we celebrate the life of Richard S. Sudol on Friday, September 22nd from 4PM - 10PM at The Lake Shawnee Clubhouse, 4 West Shawnee Trail, Wharton NJ 07885. Food and refreshments will be served. We ask that you bring a card with a story of how you remember Richard for the family to look back on.
