I met Mickey when I began teaching auto mechanics when Lenape Valley first opened in 1974. Not only did we become close friends, but also colleagues at VG Stanhope, Andover, and RT. 15 auto parts. He was one in a million with the greatest knack of knowing every joke in the world and remembering, with great fondness, everybody he ever met. My heart goes out to his family, especially his daughters who I knew as youngsters in Sparta, Bev and Val. I know you miss him greatly as all of us who knew him do. I just read about his passing today while I am wintering in Vero 
Beach, Fl. I wish I was home when the sad news was announced! Here's a toast to you, Mick! I know you're having one on us in a better place. RIP.

I knew Mickey back in the 80's; he was a great guy.  20 and 30 years later someone would bring up his name and a smile would come to my face.  That's a pretty good legacy.  RIP "Buffalo".

I am in complete shock to hear this news. I worked for Mickey at VG in hopatcong for quite some time. We became close quite fast. He became like a 2nd father to me. He taught me a lot, that to this day, i still use in my every day life. Words cannot express the sadness of his passing. He spread cheer and laughter to everyone he met. My condolences to his whole family,  and Especially to Val, who also became like a 2nd mother to me.  R.I.P Mickey!  You will surely be missed by many!
