Carolyn Mondragon

Carolyn Mondragon, 44, of Byram Township, New Jersey passed away at her residence on October 11, 2018. Carolyn was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and graduated from Union County College with her degree in nursing. She was employed at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey as a per diem registered nurse for 17 years before moving onto Summit Oaks in Summit, New Jersey. Carolyn is predeceased by her father Davis L. Gates and her step brother David Gates. She is survived by her devoted mother Mary Ellen Gates of Sparta, New Jersey; former husband Richard Mondragon of Byram Township, New Jersey; loving children: Michael, Julia, and Ryan; sister Sandra Gates of Sparta and stepbrother Dennis of Florida. Friends are invited to celebrate Carolyn’s life on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 4-8pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, 11am at St. Kateri Church, 427 Stanhope Road, Sparta, NJ 07871. In lieu of flowers the family asked that you make a donation to the charity of your choice.
