Arthur T. Heslin, 94, of Boonton, NJ, passed away on April 14, 2018 where he had resided for the past three years with his wife. He was born in New York City, New York, and proudly served in the United States Army with the 29th General Hospital Division in New Caledonia during WWll. Arthur received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from NYU in 1951. He worked his whole life in the packaging field eventually founding the Heslin Corporation which imported packaging materials for use in the United States. Arthur is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Veronica Heslin. They married shortly after the war and first moved to Lake Mohawk in 1957, later spending 25 years in Brookfield and Fairfield, Connecticut before retiring back to Lake Mohawk in 1995. Arthur considered himself a lifelong member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Sparta where he and his wife were daily communicants. Arthur was the devoted father of Christopher Heslin and his wife Terri of Darnestown, MD, Michael Heslin and his partner, Katie, of Fairfield, CT, Jack (T.J.) Heslin and his wife, Davinder, of Monroe, CT and Nancy Heslin Reading and her husband Ed of Sparta, NJ. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren: Kevin, Carley, Meghan, Allison, and Jeet; a great grandson James; his brother Brendan Heslin and his wife Irene of Rhode Island and his sister Marian Maguire of Tinton Falls, NJ. A funeral mass will be held at 11am Wednesday at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 294 Sparta Ave, Sparta, NJ.
