Alan Lee Goldberg passed away quietly with his wife Ali by his side on October 19, 2020 in Houston, Texas.

Alan was born on December 18, 1948 in New York, New York to Annette and Seymour Goldberg. He graduated from Spring Valley High School in Spring Valley, New York. Alan went on to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, New York, where he earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering while serving in the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps.

After graduating from RPI, Alan served as a Captain in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his separation from the Air Force, Alan realized he had an innate ability to take his engineering skills and apply them to business practice. In his early career, he worked for Proctor and Gamble in Cinncinati, Ohio, Bendix Corporation in Detroit, MI and Deloitte in Detroit, Michigan and New York, New York.

Alan moved to Miami Florida in 1990 where he built a very successful boutique consulting firm, Crisis Management, and was appointed by the United States Trustee to sit on the panel of bankruptcy trustees for the southern district of Florida. He was also a certified turn-around specialist and forensic accountant and served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Restructuring Officer for many companies in south Florida and around the United States.

When he wasn't working, Alan loved to travel. For years, he and his family sailed the east coast of the US and the Bahamas aboard their sailing catamaran "Beshert." More recently, he had been traveling the country on an RV. One of Alan's favorite expressions was that he and Ali were living their lives "way outside the three sigma limit."

Alan was a voracious reader and researcher. He always had projects going; from testing various bottled waters in order to attain the perfect cup of coffee, to redesigning systems on both the boat and on the RV. There wasn't any project that was "off-limits" for Alan.

Alan leaves behind his loving wife, Alison "Ali" Breslav Goldberg, his daughters Julie Goldberg, Rachel Goldberg, and Rebecca Silverman; his sons Ryan Salomon and Noah Salomon; his son-in-law Zachary Silverman, his brother David Goldberg, his sister-in-law Barbara Goldberg, his mother-in-law Diana Breslav, his brother-in-law Gordon Breslav, his sister-in-law Dru Breslav, his nieces Sharon Kaplan, Lisa Albrecht, and Caroline Breslav, his nephews Michael Goldberg, JR Breslav, and Ben Breslav, his niece-in-law Michelle Goldberg and his nephews-in-law Larry Kaplan and Zack Albrecht. Additionally, Alan leaves behind two beloved aunts, many dear cousins and his amazing grand-nieces and grand-nephews as well as countless friends and colleagues.
