Will was born August 5, 1970 in New Hanover County. He graduated from South Brunswick High School in 1988. Will was a superintendent for LM McLamb & Son Construction. He enjoyed football and NASCAR racing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children. He was a wonderful father, son and brother.
Survivors include his father William Thomas Jones and wife Phyllis; his mother Patricia Byrd and husband Kenneth; a son William Thomas Jones, III; a daughter Savannah Elizabeth Jones; two brothers, Michael Jones and Brandon Griffin and wife Kayla; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceding him in death was his paternal grandparents, Edgar and Fairley Jones; and his maternal grandparents, Albert and Dorothy Saunders.

he funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at a visitation to be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday at Peacock – Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service in Southport.
