What a joy to be Lou-Ann’s next door neighbor in last few years! Our chats were wonderful as she maintained her beautiful gardens and lamented about our gadzillion pine cone droppings! We learned so much about being caretakers of the land. 
She always had interesting stories 
about “ her” dogs who were visiting while owners were away. She brought the most unique drinks and munchies to our neighbor Happy Hours, too! We will always remember her kindness and sense of humor.

I will think of you and all the joy you brought My family and I.  
Know that all of you girls are always welcomed in Santa Fe.

My heart goes out to your family. Lou Ann was my swim coach on QDD. Even after my family moved away, we often talked about Lou Ann. When I became a swim coach many years later, I tried to channel her ability to instruct, push, and her ability to be heard even underwater!  I’ll never forget her yelling “I hate soccer!” to every kid who missed practice for a game.  She pushed me to be my best and she was caring and funny. She’ll be missed by so many that she touched.

I had the opportunity to work with Lou Ann for years when she lived in Stafford and we were all heavily involved in swimming.  She was such a positive influence on all of our children in and out of the pool.  A rare gift of seeing the best and bringing out the best in everyone she met.  So very sorry for your loss, and please know her spirit will live on in all of us who knew her.

I couldn’t find my favorite photo: Lou-Ann coaching me on the deck at a summer league meet when I was very tiny (before I was even her swimmer, she was my older brother’s coach). But I did find this one which I assume is at a banquet many years later - we look tired, but I’m clearly squishing my face into hers out of love. She was such an important person in my life and I’m so happy I got to see her one more time while I was visiting NC on a whim in May. She was feeling well enough to have brunch and she was the same bright and caring Lou-Ann with the strongest hugs. The Bradleys send our love to her family and friends. ♥️ Love you Lou-Ann.

I was shocked to her of your passing. It’s probably been 14 years since we’ve seen each other, but if I were to make a list of the top 10 influencing individuals from my upbringing, you would undoubtedly be on that list. I was never going to be a star athlete, but I loved swimming. At a time when I desperately need some structure and to believe in myself, you reinforced that I’m only ever competing against the best version of myself, and hard work builds character. You made the world a better place for those that had the pleasure of knowing you, and I’m thankful to have been one of those people.

Lou-Ann was genuinely one of the kindest and most decent people we've ever known. Far beyond just encouraging Babak (who deeply values the years he got to swim under her coaching), she was always willing to meet us where we were and work with us, even including being willing to drive Babak to Mom's jobsite when she had to work evenings, a truly above and beyond act that so many wouldn't have done.  Full of laughter, and full of care, she will be truly, deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

In memory of a fantastic coach, mother, wife, Grammy, and good friend. I will miss you so much. I will always hold close to my heart the memories of our many nights drinking wine on your screened in porch and days sitting in on the beach.  I will miss you, but always hold you close to my heart the many happy memories we made together.

Our deepest sympathies for loss of Lou Ann. What a powerhouse of a woman she was. Her ability to reach and work with the teens on swimteam, in  Northern Virginia, was a pleasure to watch.  Lou Ann cared, supported, and helped to nuture the team and keep the parents under control. I will never forget her joyful spirit, her love of coaching and her voice. As the parent of one of her swimmers, we were so very lucky to know Lou Ann.  God's speed and peace to you all.

Aunt LouAnn was a  wonderful sweet and loving soul. Bill McKinley, Timmy, and I lived in the McKinley home when Tim was a baby. Five years prior to our marriage we spent many many hours there. 
LouAnn was like a  baby sister (five years younger) to me and I loved her very much.
Your loss is shared. So sad. Too young.

Lou Ann was a wonderful neighbor of mine in Stafford. To me, she was the Dog Mom. Or Honorary Dog Aunt to my Molly and Cade, who adored her and visited her (and her fur-babies) often. Her laugh was truly infectious and her generosity unrivalled. Her love for her family, friends and students was obvious. She will certainly be missed.
