Johnny Russell Summerlin, age 64, of Oak Island, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024.
Mr. Summerlin was born in Boston Massachusetts on November 13, 1959 to J.C. Summerlin and Betsy Johnson Summerlin. Mr. Summerlin retired from the Rock Hill, S.C. School District #3 and also was employed at Progress Energy of Southport as a security guard. He loved walking on the beach and riding bikes with his daughters. He was an avid weight lifter.
He is survived by three daughters, Autumn S. Brownfield and husband Jimmy of Rock Hill, S.C., Lexie Summerlin and Olivia Summerlin of Charleston, S.C.; his father, J.C. Summerlin of Oak Island; two sisters, Ashley Meynardie and husband Robert Bonfoey of Leland and Kim Hernandez and husband Dan of Oak Island; nephews, Brian Jamieson and Chase Jamieson; great nephew Leo Meyarndie; nieces, Rylie Meynardie, Hannah Meynardie and Hallie Meynardie and a great niece, Noel Jamieson.
In accordance to Mr. Summerlin's wishes no services will be held.
