Eric was born November 7, 1970 in Hamlet, NC, son of the late James Earl Craven and Margie Willard Craven. He was a simple man that loved his family. Eric loved to fish on the Yaupon Pier and had worked at Food Lion on Oak Island. He enjoyed watching the Carolina Panthers and spending time with his sons.
Survivors include his two sons, Matthew Eric Craven and Corey Alexander Craven; a step-daughter, Alicia Lynn Wagner; a sister, Jackie Craven Faulk; a brother, Charles Michael Craven; several other extended family members; and a grandson, Cohen Alexander Craven, due to be born in April.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mitzi Elizabeth Craven.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 17, 2024 in the Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel. The family will have visitation from noon to 2:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be at Cape Fear Memorial Park.
