Brenda Pearl Johnson

Brenda Pearl Johnson, age 72, of Southport, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. She was born Sunday, February 25, 1951 to the late George William and Rose Haddaway Johnson in Easton, Maryland.

Brenda grew up on the eastern shores of Maryland, where she spent time on the water with her family crabbing and fishing. Brenda and Charlie were highschool sweethearts and remained happily married until Charlies passing in 2009. Brenda had a love for talking and could spend hours on the phone with family and friends. She loved a house full during the holidays and made sure there was plenty of food to go around. Her happy place was spending time with her family.

She served her community as a member of the Boiling Spring Lakes Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, John William Johnson and his wife Joyce of Boiling Springs Lakes; her granddaughter, Abigail Lowe and her husband Cameron of Winnabow; her grandson, Dylan Winch; her two great grandsons, Colt and Riggs Lowe; and her special feathered friend "Little Girl" a cockatiel.

She is preceded in passing by her husband and love of her life, "Charlie" Johnson and her daughter, Connie Propst.

A visitation with family & friends for Brenda will be held Monday, June 12, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service, 1411 North Howe Street, Southport, North Carolina.

A second visitation will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 11:00 am at Bolden - Tilghman Mortuary Service, 21 N. Hanson St., Suite 113B Easton, MD, services will follow.

A small graveside service will be held at Neavitt Cemetery, Neavitt, Maryland.
