Sandra Louise LaPorte

Sandra Louise Laporte, 72, of Southington, beloved wife of Stephen Vaccarella, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the Summit of Plantsville. She was born in Southington on November 3, 1952 to the late Richard and Margaret (D'Angelo) Amnott and attended local schools.

Sandy was a ball of fire and very strong willed. She had a way of getting things done and she made sure you knew it. Rising through the ranks to become a district manager of a nationwide food and beverage chain, she worked until it was no longer possible to physically get there. She loved the beauty of wildflowers and nature and had many collections of trinkets and collectables.

Besides her husband Stephen, she is survived by her only child Shallon LaPorte. She also leaves behind her two grandchildren Chace and Douglas "DJ" Fongemie Jr, her niece Rebecca Grayson, nephews William Whipple, Anthony Kinney and Joseph Kinney, as well as one brother Richard Amnott Jr. She was preceded in death by her brothers Donald "Wimpy" Kinney and Butch Amnott.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday November 20, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. Southington, CT 06489. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
