Pat retired in 1981 from GE after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Calendar House, AARP, and YMCA. She was a parishioner of St Thomas and past member of the Ladies Guild. Pat was an avid reader, sharing and swapping books with many. Her favorite love was writing poetry. She wrote poetry from a very early age with over 50 poems published in the local newspapers. She never missed an opportunity to write a poem no matter what the occasion including her own retirement and birthdays and those of her family.
Pat was loved and will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins as well as her very good and long-time friends, Eleanor Bendecchi (pre deceased), Betty Rich, Lucille Tedesco and Mikki Brady. With Pat, you always knew where you stood. For those who knew her well, she was a woman who spoke her mind, did things her way, and made sure she got her point across. But at the same time, she was filled with love, overwhelming joy for her family and friends, and prayerful and thankful to God for a long and well-lived life.
A special thanks to her great nieces Pam and Lynn for their weekly visits and to 2 special friends in Pat’s life, Sam and Alley, who would spend their Thursday nights playing cards with her (with wine of course) and ensuring her nails were impeccable. Most importantly, the family would like to thank all the staff at Southington Care for their assistance, support, affection and their constant loving and attentive care they gave her.
