Lucy (Cianciolo) Luponio, 94, of The Village of Florida, formerly of Plantsville, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023. She was the beloved widow Vincent Luponio who passed away in 2005. Lucy was born in Cheshire, CT on April 6, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Phillip and Mamie Cianciolo.
She dedicated herself to family and also worked for 36 years at New Departure General Motors. Lucy is survived by her daughter Lena Cerrato of Florida, two grandchildren, Nicholas Perreault, Kristina Donza and two great-grandchildren, Amelia and Natalie.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Lucy will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM in St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville, CT 06479. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Relatives and friends may call on the family on Thursday morning from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM prior to the mass at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home. 211 N. Main St., Southington, CT 06489.
