John V. Clark Jr., 96, of Southington, Connecticut, beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Ricketts) Clark, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024. John was born in Meriden, CT on November 24, 1927 to the late John and Helen (Krasenics) Clark Sr.
John lived a long and wonderful life full of happiness and love. He enlisted in the Navy shortly after he graduated from high school and served during World War II. He was employed as a draftsman with the Perkin Elmer company for many years. John grew up in Connecticut and has resided in several states to include Virginia, North Carolina and finally settling back in Connecticut with his wife and children for well over 25 years. He loved to marvel at the beauty of the world including the bright colors of the blooming flowers and the various birds that visited his feeders. He could often be found watching his favorite sport of baseball on television no matter who was playing. His amazing smile and lust for life will forever be remembered and sorely missed.
John is survived by his daughter Dawn Tyler of Manchester, Connecticut; his daughter Gail Clark of Wallingford, Connecticut; and his daughter & son in law Marcia Pilch (Steve) of Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire.
John was preceded in death by his parents John Clark Sr. (Helen Krasenics); his sister Patricia Weich; his brothers Robert and Donald Clark, and his beloved wife Marjorie Clark.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and care providers at The Hospital of Central Connecticut New Britain Campus for the great care given to John in his final days. They would also like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the home care providers who assisted John over the last several years. He truly enjoyed their companionship and loved telling them stories about his life, and especially his adventures while serving in the Navy.
