Ann M. Wichick

Ann M. Wichick, 96, of Southington, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024. Ann was born in Southington on October 24, 1928 to the late Anthony and Josephine (Perfetto) Tacinelli. Raised in Southington and attending local schools, she raised a family as a homemaker ensuring their every need was always tended to.

Ann was a vibrant and joyous soul who was adored by her family. Never ever to be alone, she was always surrounded by their love and physical presence. Ann was a bit of a techie for her age, using her iPad to FaceTime her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren daily. She had a Facebook and Instagram profile and would happily surf the web throughout the day. She enjoyed adult coloring books often coloring with colored pencils for hours at a time. She also never missed an episode of Days of our Lives, even having to obtain a new broadcasting network in order to watch her soap. Her zest for life will be missed and forever cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Ann is survived by her daughter Nancy and her husband Mike, her four grandchildren Grant and his spouse Julie, Sharon, Shawn and his spouse Krista and Jennifer and her spouse Chris as well as 16 great grandchildren Kaonna, Kory, Grant, Vanessa, Taylor, Marcus, Mackenzie, Dinah, Keyshawn, Nicole, Juliana, Christina, Ava, Christian, Sydney, and Eric, 4 great-great grandchildren Kam, Nova, Grayson, and Brayden, and one sister Palmina. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, son Robert and three sisters Mary, Josephine and Dolores.

At Ann's request all services will be private and at the convenience of her family. In lieu of sending flowers the family asks that memorial contributions in her name be made directly to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital by going to www.stjude.org
