After Loretta’s birth in Camden, NJ in 1925, the family then moved to Philadelphia and then Glenside, PA.
After her marriage to James M. Burns in 1950, she and her new husband moved to their new home in Ivyland, PA in 1951 where her husband passed away in 1985 and she continued to reside there until her recent demise.
She was the loving mother of Edward, Joseph, John and Greg. She will be sadly missed by her 9 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, many nieces and nephews, and by all who knew her.
Mrs. Burns had been a retired Proofreader from the Jordan Company in Philadelphia, PA.
A long-time devout member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, she regularly participated in many of the church functions as well as playing the organ at St. Vincent de Paul Church’s masses.
Her hobbies and interests included gardening, oil painting, her dedication to her faith, and last but not least, her love for, and spending time with, her family.
On Tuesday February 14th, 2012, relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing from 9-11 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church at 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954 followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797 County Line Road, Chalfont, PA 18914.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Loretta’s name to St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954
